Direction to Living History Site GL11UG
Brunswick Square
(in pale green overleaf). Open Friday 24th to Monday 27th pm. This has access for vehicles to unload, but they would need to be removed after unloading, to limited, LH only, parking nearby. The square is fenced providing security within, with brick built loos nearby, and Tardises. The local residents were extremely positive and made us welcome. The Living History, representing the citizens of Gloucester under siege, will be coordinated by Lynn Williams- please register Drill Display
Gloucester ask for a drill display on Sunday and Monday. in King’s Square (in orange in image), at 11 am; troops fed after.

Planning. The camp site is some distance from the battlefield (about 1.5 miles), so we recommend regiments organise heavy equipment and weapons to Gloucester Park in vans & trailers; there is parking space just inside the gate. The soldiers may make their way slowly through the town, having lunch on the way at the many eating places, or stopping off at the Living History. Those taking part in the Drill Display on Sunday/Monday could likewise make their way by easy marches through the pedestrian centre to the LH (and be fed) and then into Gloucester Park. Water taps at Brunswick Sq. and The Park.
